Divide pork steaks into 2 large lockable food bags
2. In a bowl mix the lemon juice, orange juice, EVOO, sea salt, pepper and
Italian seasonings
3. Pour 1/2 of the marinade in #2 into each of the lockable food bags
4. Close each bag squeezing down to extract the air. Place in refrigerator f
or 1-hour.
5. After marinading, place the crushed crackers in a large bowl and then
dredge each of the pork steaks in the crackers (leave wet so crackers adhere)
6. Place the dredged steaks on a flat sheet with sides, rubbed with EVOO and
bake at 300 deg F. for 45 minutes. Rub potatoes with EVOO, sprinkle with
sea salt and put in oven with steaks.
7. While steaks and potatoes are baking, put the left over marinade in a
sauce pan over medium heat and bring to a slow boil and reduce by 1/2.
To aid in thickening, mix slowly, 1 T corn starch with 3 T of cold water
and add to the marinade while stirring until you get consistency you want.
8. Turn oven to broil (hi) and broil about 5 minutes each side or until
golden brown and juices run clear.
9. Remove steaks and set aside in a covered container to keep warm.
10. Remove potatoes, cut in half the long way, carve out insides leaving
about 1/8 inch on the skins. Put potato into a baking dish, mash and mix
with 2-T of butter and 4 to 6 oz of sour cream and 2-t of garlic powder.
Put in microwave and heat on high for about 4 minutes or until hot.
11. Plate 2 pork steaks, fill each of the potato halves with the potato mixture
(top with parsley garnish),add 2 to 3 T of beans and then drizzle the marinade
sauce over the steaks and enjoy.

Carmel-Chocolate layer brownie.YYUUMMM

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jWHAMoObsG0/SykE3DhuIcI/AAAAAAAAAD4/ziut_KXtNpk/s320/carmelchocolatelayerbrownie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415865370775790018" />
By: http://www.mealselection.com

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 C All-purpose flour
3/4 C Nestle Toll House baking cocoa
1/4 t ground sea salt
1/2 C (1-stick) butter, cut into pieces
1/2 C granulated sugar
1/2 C packed brown sugar
3 lg organic, free range chicken eggs, divided
2 t vanilla extract
1 C chopped pecans or walnuts
3/4 C Nestle Toll House premier white Morsels
1/2 C caramel ice cream topping
3/4 C Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Vanilla ice cream

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.
If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the
panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound
until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.

Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away,
Think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage.. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around..

After a few seconds all the neighbors will be annoyed and looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there.

This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic.
Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem.

A COMPLETE TASTY MEAL

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 181px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jWHAMoObsG0/SuW7kKCR6UI/AAAAAAAAACw/3CR4LruyXUo/s320/fratata1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5396925958317009218" />
By www.mealselection.com
T&R's SKILLET FRITTATA

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs red potatoes
1 lb bulk Italian sasuage
2 T butter
1/4 t chili powder
2 cloves garlic, mashed
1 med purple onion, diced
8 Lg organic eggs
1 T pimentoes
1 C Mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 t dried basil
2 t dried oregano
6 sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil, diced

INSTRUCTIONS

1. The cost of groceries, from food to health and beauty aides, to cleansers, is enough to strain the best of budgets. But eating well and staying healthy doesn’t need to break your budget. The articles on Grocery Coupon Guide are designed to provide a variety of alternatives to decrease your expenses. From the basics of finding and using coupons, understanding how they work, and applying them for the best value, as well as getting the most from rebates, stockpiling super deals, and understanding how the industry works, we hope to inform you, guide you, and inspire you.
Every cost cutting measure may not be right for you. Not everyone has time, energy, even space, to maximize their savings. But you can reduce your costs, using the methods that are right for you. You won’t become a super saver overnight, but you can start saving immediately, and add new techniques that are appropriate for you.
Need some inspiration? Come on my Shopping Spree where I show you how I received $338 in retail price groceries for $27. Before you shake your head and believe that it is impossible, read through – it took organization and time, but anyone could have done it.
The first step is to start with the Wednesday newspaper, and sales flyer. Time to make a list…sales only. What is worth looking at? Make no commitment to purchasing anything, just note any “good” prices, or anything you know for a fact you need to buy (perishables, produce). Note any special “additional” offers, the “buy 10 get $10 back”, or “free with purchase”. Again, try not to assume you are going to buy any item just because it’s a “good” price.
The next step is to walk over and open the refrigerator. What do you need, what do you have room for, what needs to be tossed (do it now), and how can you rearrange what you have to fit the most in. We usually need fresh soy milk, creamer, produce. I’d really like fresh salads this week. Broccoli and carrots are generally our least expensive default purchase, although even frozen vegetables pass for a week if the prices on fresh produce are high. Check the pantry, cleanser area, laundry, and personal care items, too. I need laundry detergent and it has to be Cheerfree since we’re allergic to anything else. Well stocked on other items, but I will check on some of the sales.
Next, match up the coupons you currently have with the offers and your immediate needs. Hamburger Helper is $1 on sale, a good emergency staple, but not critical. Add on a $1 coupon, which makes it free, and mark your list to be sure to pick it up. Is something you “need” not on sale? Keep it on the list, and check prices in the store. If prices are too high and it’s not critical for the next 7 days, try to pass it up and hope for a better price next week.

If it’s something with a high price, has no sale, no coupon, and is not critical, cross it off the list.
Personally, I don’t make a meal plan before I shop. The sales and savings drive the meal planning later, with a bit of creativity.
Now, to the store. I have a short list, a few notes, and my ever present coupon box. Even though I sort out coupons I know I want to use with sales or critical items, there may be additional clearances or unadvertised sales that I want to take advantage of…with the best deal using the coupon.

The above excerpt taken from www.grocerycouponguide.com. It was simple, easy and the taste was to die for, to say nothing about how the meat fell off the bone.

1 1/2 pounds of beef ribs (bone-in)

1- tblsp of onion powder, 1-Tblsp of garlic powder, 1-Tblsp of smoked paprika, 1-Tblsp of cayenne pepper, 2-Tblsp of organic honey, 4-Tblsp of your favorite bbq sauce and 2-Tblsp of EVOO.

Wash ribs, pat dry, remove most of the fat, mix dry ingredients and spread over the meat side. Place in a tin foil lined cake pan and drizzle the EVOO over the top. Cover with tin foil and place in oven at 400 deg. F for 45 mins.. Remove, uncover and spread the honey evenly and then put back in the oven at 200 deg. F for 1-hour. Remove, uncover and spread bbq sauce evenly. Cover and place back in the oven at 200 deg. F for 2-hours. We put our house up for sale in Las Vegas and during the 18 months that it took to sell the house, I needed something to do. I have traveled the world and the same question is asked everywhere. What should we have for dinner. It took the 18 months to design the book, make up the recipes, publish the book and design the web site. My wife was a big contributor and I think that we both gained several pounds. Each time we made a meal, we took pictures and those pictures appear in the book. www.mealselection.com is where the book can be found and you can download the book as a FREE preview.

OBESITY

Obesity....Live or Die
The needle or digital readout on the scales keep going up and up year after year. It's clear that there is an obesity epidemic. What can be done? Well its clear that the answer my friend, is not blowing in the wind.
To start, with we need to get our children into a healthy eating habit right from the start. Its back to the basics. The day should start with a healthy breakfast consisting of grains, fruits and berries or meat/eggs/toast. Those cute and handy boxes of sugar coated cereals put on WEIGHT.
The lunch menu consisting of a "big burger, french fries and soft drink" contain a full day's worth of FAT and we still have the rest of the day to go. Munching between meals on potato chips, cheese flavored puffs, candy bars, etc...can add tomorrows allotment of fat TODAY. Fruits, nuts and dried berries are a wholesome snack.
If the child appears to be putting on too much weight, and not eating excessively, seek out an "Endocrinologist". Not all excessive weight gain is due to eating habits.
For everyone, child or adult, healthy eating habits (low fat meals and appropriate portions) coupled with exercise (exercise is not defined as operating a computer keyboard or the buttons on a game controller) equals proper weight gain. In today's world, exercise is walking from the house to the school bus, or walking from the house to the car to the office and back. This does not mean that you have to join a fitness club and do strenuous workouts. In fact, according to recent findings reported in many journals, those workouts and or long distance running may be hazardous to your health.
For those adults and children that are already over weight, CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS NOW. Weight is a simple math calculation. Calories consumed minus calories burned equals weight gain or loss. If that does not work, seek help, as many factors contribute and they can be genetic, hormonal, behavioral, environmental and cultural.
I am including a link that although I do not agree completely on the formulas given, it is a good starting point.

Use www.mypyramid.gov

What should we have for dinner??
How many times has this question been asked?
